Join Us – Winter Solstice Swim 🌊

Celebrate the shortest day of the year with PodSquad 🐬 and the talented local mens choir, the Cottesloe Crooners 🎵, as we welcome the return of the sun.

Join us for a magical morning of community, music, and ocean swimming on Saturday 20 June, 2026.

We’ll begin at 7:15 am sharp with a special Ode to the Sun reading and a traditional yellow ochre blessing, before being piped 🎵 into the ocean by our Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 bagpiper in a slow, celestial procession down the ramp at 7:30 am.

We will then swim our standard two kilometre swim (weather conditions permitting – we will check the weather leading up) There will be also an optional tea-bag dip 🫖 for those that may want to join in but would prefer to refresh themselves with a simple brisk dunk in the winter ocean.

Please bring:

• Your singing voice to support the Cottesloe Crooners 🎶
• Your friends and family (are warmly welcome up at SUP)  🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒
• A touch of pirate flair 🏴‍☠️
• A plate 🥮  to share for afterwards at SUP ☕🥐
