Drone Pilot and Retired Geologist/Geophysicist

Cliff Ford is a life member at North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club, who took up flying drones in retirement after a long career in Geology and Geophysics, where he loved mapping and imaging the subsurface. In retirement, with the drone from above, he’s continued his love of “imaging” but with a focus on capturing the moment and the essence of water activities. 

Cliff is passionate about open-water swimming, coastal environments, marine life, and other aquatic activities.  These all come together at North Cottesloe Beach when the “PodSquad” hits the water and the drone is up. He loves filming them from above; it’s the next best thing to swimming with the Pod.
