Geoff Fisher is a swimmer and a renowned figure in family photography in Perth’s Western Suburbs. For many years, alongside his family portraits, Geoff has pursued a personal passion: capturing the ever-changing moods of Cottesloe. This long-term project has seen him photograph peaceful early mornings, brave the drama of stormy seas, and embrace foggy dawns. Geoff’s journey in photography, much like his life, reflects resilience and a deep appreciation for the present moment. Over ten years, he faced serious heart issues, culminating in a successful heart transplant in 2018. This life-changing event broadened his outlook and enriched his work. Through his lens, Geoff tells a story of the lasting beauty of a place he loves, Cottesloe’s beaches.
